About Dr Femi Oshin
Dr Femi Oshin is a vascular surgeon with a special interest in diabetic foot care, limb preservation, and personalised, holistic treatment. Based in Perth, Western Australia, he brings a calm, thoughtful approach to every patient he sees, combining surgical skill with deep empathy and a strong belief in collaborative care.
Femi’s focus is on helping people with peripheral arterial disease, chronic wounds, and diabetic foot complications. His work often involves restoring blood flow, treating infections, and developing long-term plans to protect limb function and avoid unnecessary amputations. He works closely with podiatrists, GPs, endocrinologists and other specialists to make sure every patient receives the right care at the right time.
Dr Oshin consults privately at Hollywood Specialist Centre and also provides public care at Royal Perth Hospital, Armadale Health Service and Broome Regional Hospital. He is passionate about making advanced vascular care more accessible, especially for people living in rural and regional WA.
"I understand how frightening it can be when you're told you might lose a limb. My goal is always to give you clarity, options, and support and to do everything possible to help you keep your independence and quality of life."
Dr Femi Oshin
Born in Ethiopia to Nigerian parents, Femi moved to the UK at the age of six, where his family placed a high value on education. He began his academic journey studying engineering at the University of Liverpool, focusing on tissue healing and material science. After completing his engineering degree, he went on to study medicine, graduating in 1999, and later earned a doctorate during his surgical training.
After relocating to Perth in 2017 for a vascular fellowship, Dr Oshin chose to make Western Australia his long-term home. Today, he leads Limb Preservation Perth, with a vision to deliver world-class diabetic foot care and limb-saving strategies tailored to each person’s needs.

How do I know if I have a diabetic foot ulcer?
Not all ulcers are painful, especially if you have nerve damage. Signs to watch for include a sore or open wound on your foot that isn’t healing, redness or swelling, or an area that feels warmer or looks darker than the surrounding skin. If you notice any of these, it’s best to get it checked straight away.

At Limb Preservation Perth, we offer a complete range of services to help prevent, detect, and manage diabetic foot complications. These include:
- Regular foot checks and risk assessments

Why a dedicated diabetic foot clinic matters
At Limb Preservation Perth, we specialise in diabetic foot care and limb preservation so we know what signs to watch for and how to act quickly when problems arise.
Getting the right care early, in the right setting, can help wounds heal faster, keep you out of hospital, and reduce the risk of amputation. That’s why being seen in a dedicated clinic like ours can make all the difference.
Why can’t I just go to my regular doctor for this?
Your GP is central to managing your overall diabetes care. But when it comes to foot complications, you may need extra support like advanced tests, specialised wound care, or vascular procedures that go beyond what’s usually available in general practice.
That’s where a dedicated clinic like ours comes in. We’re here to work with your GP, not replace them, making sure you get the right care at the right time.
